The Wall Street Journal covered this shocking case in May of 2011 which led to Congressional interest and a hearing before the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Both Sarah & Jennifer filed a Qui Tam lawsuit in 2011 and prevailed with a judgment but were met with more hostility when the Department of Justice refused to honor an executed settlement agreement on monetary recovery.
Sarah & Jennifer continue to advocate for increased whistleblower protections and accountability of senior executive service officials, statistical transparency within the Social Security Administration, proper oversight and reporting of the Social Security Administration and expansion of the Merit Systems Protection Board.
